Summary
In truth, there was nothing exceptional about what he was witnessing right now. To the average person, he simply looked like a fan of Enhypen, patiently waiting in line to get a chance to speak to his idols.
The only thing about him that would cause people to look twice was his exceptional good looks and expensive clothing.
To Heeseung though, it felt like an icy blast of water was dropped over his head. The cold shock of seeing Jungwon again after five years, and at a fan sign of all places, made his heart race and his hands shake.
What was he doing here?

He already missed Riki so badly. He missed all the boys, his found family, his precious group mates like it’s been months since they went separate ways. But Riki… As expected Riki left a whole different kind of ache in his heart, especially knowing he was so close yet so far, bound by the same company yet forced to be away from each other by circumstances.
Separated, at that moment, by just a few floors.
The live ended and Heeseung kept staring at the black video frame that indicated the stream was over, worrying his teeth over his bottom lip, knowing he was about to make a rather stupid decision. Well…how bad could it be to dodge the chairmen's emphatic recommendations of avoiding his former group mates for a little while, and pay Riki a brief, harmless visit…? Just to, well… check how he was doing… ?
In retrospect, maybe that’s what possessed him to risk everything and go down there, after all.

“Dead! I killed you. Like eighty times at this point, what the fuck is this,” at this point, Jake is rubbing his hands over his face, chest rising and falling as he’s very obviously nearing a panic attack. In fact, Heeseung thinks Jake is about a second away from faceplanting into the broken remains of his teacup.

Still, eventually, he raised his eyes, tired, but warm, looking at Riki like he was precious as he opened his mouth, words rolling off his tongue quietly and bursting with bittersweet, puppy-like sincerity. The memory was foggy. Heeseung in the present shrugged uncomfortably and looked away.

“The prettiest,” Sunoo agrees, as if trying to make up for what he said earlier. His quick nods are adorable to watch.
“Heeseung-noona,” Ni-ki shouts at him and laughs, but Heeseung catches the way his eyes are glued to where the skirt flares around his hips. The name stirs something in him, but then he’s being called away to discuss something about their comeback live tonight with his manager, and that’s that.
