Summary
Hearing Olethra’s excited tones mixed with the bouquet of observations being voiced by veteran eyes clued Maxwell into the Zephyr’s steady approach towards Oda. His learnt pessimistic streak was already turning over and into high gear as more details came into sight each generating its own set of potential concerns. The fragrant use of some type of local flying suit variant rose to the top of his list - while they at least had the decency to make the equipment obvious to the eye instead of concealing them; Maxwell would rather people kept their feet on the ground, or well deck as it currently stands.
After completing the ritual of tying down the ship and Wealwell along with securing ‘Goldbeard’s Gold’ below, Van began rattling off the standard ground side reminders to the entire crew. None of which was heard by Maxwell as he began to take stock of the faces present, not recognizing it’s Torse he's searching for till he can’t find a hint of metal.

Summary
It takes Ryland Grace three days to figure out he’s in a different reality but in his defense, it was a school weekend and summer break was on the way.
Here's a few things that clues him in:
One, the weirdest thing that Ryland notices when he wakes up is that he smells like sugar cookies. He doesn't even know how to bake.
Two, the second weirdest thing is that when he orders take out, his DoorDasher leans in really close to his face and sniffs him. Which, okay, so he forgot to shower last night, is it such a crime? Sue him, whatever.
The last and final thing that broke the straw on the camel's back was the man who stops him outside of Grover Cleveland Middle School while he's fumbling with his bike lock and sweating over rewriting the answer key for his practice exams, to ask if he could hit up that "Sweet Omega Ass," which- what the fudge? Who do you think you are, and what even is an Omega?
OR: that one isekai fic that no one asked for where Just A Normal Guy Ryland Grace wakes up in an omegaverse reality.
