Summary
After the lawsuit, Buck drifts a little.
Or maybe it was before that. Maybe it it was even before the truck bombing. Maybe it was before he ever left home.
And not the kind of drifting where he's lost. The kind where he can blink and its been a week. The kind where he can go days without showering or eating or working out without even realizing. The kind where sometimes he sleeps for 24 hours and other times he sleeps for 2. The kind where he can't focus on thinking most of the time, but when he does it hurts and spirals and bites. The kind where he just wants to be alone, but knows he doesn't want to feel lonely.
The kind where he pulls away and folds himself up until he can disappear.

Or: A crawl gone wrong left Mike stranded in the Upside Down. Hurt and alone, Mike stumbles upon someone everyone told him was dead.
