For a moment, Garak’s heart leapt. He imagined a tall, thin figure emerging, perhaps dressed in Starfleet Medical gray and blue, or perhaps wearing civilian clothing. He imagined him saying, I got your letter, and I couldn’t stay away any longer. Did you mean what you said?
The door opened. The figure that emerged was short and clad in the red of the Bajoran militia, with a bag slung across her shoulder.
“Colonel Kira,” Garak said. “This is an unexpected surprise. To what do I owe the pleasure?”
Kira didn’t return his smile. “We need to talk, Garak. It’s about Julian.”

After the war, Section 31 comes after Julian. Someone really should have alerted Garak sooner, but now that he knows, he's not letting him go without a fight. Neither is Miles, Kira, or Jake, for that matter.

Summary
the power goes out in ops (surprise! it’s cold) and it’s just the main crew there (and julian bc he was in there gossiping) and then quark comes in via a wall panel like “y’all wanna buy some blankets?” (and garak arrives like “wat do u mean nothing works i broke through 15 forcefields and rerouted security protocols no problem, hey julian i’m cold”) and then they build a blanket fort & cuddle for warmth & sing songs around the glowstick campfire. also garak has a tail, for secret reasons.

When he opened his eyes, the sun was shining brightly above Picard’s face. It was a strange sensation, after spending so long traveling in space and aboard the Enterprise he felt oddly foreign on this planets surface. Unbelievable. Through the, now broken, glass Picard looked around to the desert landscape that surrounded him. At a first glance it was barren and lifeless.

Summary
Throughout the months that Q has remained on the Enterprise after becoming human permanently, he’s managed to fall into a comfortable pattern with Picard. They don’t say that they’re dating— not to anyone on the crew, and not to themselves either. Of course they’d never call it that. But no one on the Enterprise is blind, and they can all see what’s happening. Then when the unthinkable happens and Picard is captured by the Borg, Q has to deal with the aftermath. He’s never felt guilt before, and it’s a terrifyingly human emotion. Now together, they must deal with their humanity: both newly gained and newly lost. For the QCard BigBang on tumblr!

What did Miles Edgeworth know?
(That night, he finds out exactly what Edgeworth knows… as well as what Edgeworth thinks he knows. Manfred gains a better new weapon than he could ever have anticipated, and over the years, he uses it to do plenty of damage.)

Summary
Sometimes it feels impossible to compare the Q described in Starfleet records to the one that pops on and off the ship at his own leisure. It really shouldn’t be, especially given that Jean-Luc has provided almost all the information, but reading Q’s description on paper is vastly different to enduring his presence.
For example, Q’s file now states that he is averse to touch with physical beings. Words that Jean-Luc himself wrote stare back at him from the screen, but he cannot bring himself to believe them.
Jean-Luc can recall a hundred casual touches: a mouth next to his temple, an arm around his shoulder, a finger tracing his ear, a hand reaching for his across his desk. These were not the behaviours of a touch-averse creature.
