Or: Lando loses an F1 championship and signs up for a charity Minecraft speedrunning tournament to cope with his existential crisis. Turns out his coach, faceless speedrunning champion OP81, might be a bit of a fanboy.

i cant believe i havent added this as a rec yet but PLEASE READ THIS. OH MY GOD. (of course if the tags fancy you) BUT THE WAY THIS AUTHOR WRITES IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. the plot might sound strange but trust me it is 100% worth the read. i fear this is one of if not THE best fic ive ever read. Summary
The accidental appearance of another teenage boy hopelessly obsessed with cars at one of his father’s garages leads Oscar down a rabbit hole of Lando’s social media, just as Lando is beginning his career as a blogger. Oscar leaves comments under his posts for years, never even imagining that fate would eventually throw them into the same university. But getting close to Lando is nearly impossible — he's always surrounded by a crowd of popular friends. Through a strange twist of circumstances, Oscar, who never even dared hope to get close to him, first ends up in the middle of an illegal street race and then comes up with a Totally Foolproof Plan to Chase Lando Norris.
Although… perhaps the plan failed to account for something from the very beginning?
