For not the first time, Reid cursed his decision to rush into Dr. Nichols’ house before it had been cleared. He'd never been the best runner by any means, but it was certainly a lot easier before he'd gone and given himself Anthrax poisoning.
He was still out of breath. It had to have been several minutes since he'd raced through the forest, and the adrenaline was waning, so he shouldn't still be panting for air.
