Time had frozen, the lashing droplets that fell, soaking their bodies in the rawness of this moment. Forever immortalised in their memories.
Rui should have seen it coming. He should have known the moment he heard Tsukasa’s voice, shaking on the other end of the phone, asking him to meet outside an insignificant corner shop in-between their houses.
He should have known when he saw the blonde, bloodshot eyes and bloodied lips, torn from the anxiety he must have felt, biting away at his lips. His star always took great care in his appearance, but that wasn’t his star anymore.
He should have known it was too good to be true when the shorter’s fingers graced his neck, his hands clammy yet soft to the touch before pulling him in, hot and fast.
He knew when he felt Tsukasa breath as they broke contact, how it shook, his eyes avoidant from shame.
He knew it was over then.
