But Megumi knows better by now. There are days when Itadori likes him shy and demure, enjoys the thrill of chasing after someone playing hard to get. And sometimes he prefers Megumi with a little more bite so that he can fuck the fight out of him and tame him into complete submission.

Tony’s pleasure showed through in his chuckle. His hand dropped onto Peter’s shoulder, giving it a squeeze. “Smart kid.” Peter might have died right then, the way those words coursed over him. But Tony didn’t seem to notice, the way his hand stayed even as he turned his attention back to the screen. “Got it in one. Here, have a look at this.”
He pointed at the figure of the opalescent rock. He tapped it and it spun, a rainbow cascading through the light refracted by the hologram.
“It’s,” Peter struggled for a minute to find the words, preoccupied by the sensation of Tony’s heartbeat pulsing through his fingers. “It’s real pretty, Mr. Stark.”
Tony’s eyes crinkled at the corners. “I made a prototype.”
Oh, that didn’t bode well.--
Peter knows his one-sided love for Tony is hopeless. And then he wakes up in another Peter’s life, where Tony is even more unattainable. Where Tony isn’t always keeping a scrupulous distance, because they’re supposed to be related. But they’re not. He’s not this Tony’s Peter, right?
