    Summary

“Stark,” Cregan says, introducing himself, though he wasn’t asked to.

Jace flushes, has no idea why, then has an idea why, then pushes it down to the dark corner where it belongs.  That is not something he needs to unpack this year.  After the week he’s had leading up to move-in, he needs this year to be nothing but easy and fast and not complicated and not shitty.

“Cregan!”  Luke’s excited voice cuts through the room so sharply it makes Jace’s ears ring.  Boxes and bags crash to the floor as his little brother rushes across the room.

Cregan pulls him into a pound hug that knocks the breath right out of Luke.  Jesus, he’s big.

“I didn’t think I’d see you ‘til orientation!”  Luke turns towards his brother.  “Jace!  This is the major mentor I told you I was emailing all summer, Cregan- Cregan, my annoying brother, Jace.”

    -

After his unexpected breakup, Jace wants his Junior year at King's Landing to be uncomplicated. His plan is simple: Look after Luke during his first year, keep his head down, and graduate like his mother and grandfather before him.

But after meeting Cregan, his new roommate - and his brother's Major Mentor - his plans for the year don't look so simple after all.

    Summary

Dennis Whitaker knew he was born with two soul marks. He did not have any further information. It was rather normal where he grew up to consider burning a soul mark off of an infant if said soul mark had the chance of leading the child to sin. From what his parents said, he had a double whammy of a problem, his soul marks were gay and they were marks, plural. However, everyone in the hospital had questions about soul marks and what was known. Eventually, he snaps and tells everyone how they were burned off of him as a child and how he has no hope of ever finding them.

Robby is confronted by the fact his and Jack's triad soulmate hadn't been avoiding them this whole time, instead he never knew that his name was written across both of their bodies. Now, he has to try to convince his soulmate to come home with him so Jack can also know about their soulmate.

Jack was not prepared for Robby to ride home with the soulmate they have been extremely slowly courting. This was not discussed beforehand, and he was definitely freaking out. Nothing could have prepared him for the reason his husband had brought home their third like this though.

    Summary

Robby goes to help with triage, and Dennis and the others disperse to help treat what they can. It’s a blur after that of stitches and setting broken bones and putting shock blankets on shoulders. Presby brought a portable X-ray machine, one that connects to a phone. Sent along a tech to read the images too. Means they can access and treat broken bones in the field, instead of having to send them on to the hospitals. Means they can save transporting for the injuries that really need it.

    Summary

The boy — the omega — lowered his hood with a smooth motion, and bowed with grace too natural for a southerner.

“My lord Stark,” he said politely, “I am Jace Waters. Lady Jeyne said I was expected.”

    The boy looked up—

    —And smiled.

A warm, open, unguarded smile that didn’t belong in a place like Winterfell.

Cregan blinked. Gods, no. She didn’t—

    Oh, she did.

"Damn you, Jeyne," he muttered beneath his breath.

    OR
When the ever-annoying Lady Jeyne sent an omega to nursemaid his motherless son and heir, Cregan Stark didn’t bother to ask for the boy’s appearance. In hindsight, He should have. Gods help him, he really should have.

When Luke Waters is sent by Lady Jeyne to squire for the notorious one-eyed commander of the City Watch, he doesn’t understand the reason. All he can do is keep his head down, his sword up, and pray his omega nature isn’t exposed.

    Summary

'Unbeknownst to Robby, however, he would not be leaving, and it was entirely due to that conversation. Because of that conversation, he was going to lose one of his doctors today.

He did not know this yet.

    Nobody knew this yet.

They wouldn’t know until twenty minutes later, when Whitaker went to do that neuro check on the man in South 14.

AKA: What if instead of Emma who gets assaulted in Episode 11, it’s Whitaker, and then things go from bad to fucking catastrophic very, very quickly, because turns out Whitaker’s a very, very good liar, with a very, very large and very, very dangerous secret?

What if Robby’s guilt is strong enough to stop his doomed-ass sabbatical, due to the overwhelming responsibility he feels to 'atone for what he's done'?

What if Whitaker has a chronic condition and some really shitty history he never discussed with anyone, and Robby can't stop being a doctor, no matter how much he keeps trying?
