Summary
“White mocha.” His words came out rolling like honey, the thick Antivan accent almost enveloping her in a rich, warm cocoon. “I infused dry lavender in it. To help you sleep. This one is…decaffeinated.”
Rook sniffed the drink. The heat seeping from the cup and through her sleeves made her shiver with contentment. Comforting. Soothing. She closed her eyes, basking in the scent of it. A waft of white chocolate hit her nostrils, along with something else, light and floral. It smelled divine. Like a good night’s sleep.
- Or when Rook and Lucanis share a moment of domesticity in the dining hall, near the fireplace. A comforting drink, care and fluff, feeling close to each other pre-relationship. What is left unsaid.
