Summary
Daeron is swaying from drink, one hand resting heavily on his little sister’s shoulder. There are tears on his face, or perhaps he is sweating. It is unclear in the haze of the fire’s heat. Kiera cannot think about it now, this marriage that will happen and for which she should be grateful. Valarr is watching from inside the fire.
or Kiera and Daeron's marriage over the years. -

Summary
This excerpt from Saera Targaryen’s personal writings is one of the only surviving sections. Maester’s speculate that this piece was begun after the great council of 101 and that the intended reader was perhaps one or more of the princess’ children.

Summary
“Get up.”
Sprawled on the floor, insensate, Daeron tries to get his bearings. The earth outside the inn is cool, cool against his burning face; red from smacking, from alcohol flush, from the fire within. Slowly, he turns his face so that he can see the feet in front of him. His father’s black boots stare back at him, unimpressed. His father is here.
“What have you done with Egg?” Maekar asks, bending down so that his knee hovers just before Daeron’s eye. With one firm hand, he yanks Daeron up slightly off the floor by the collar, as if he were only eight and not eighteen, and his body weighs nothing.(or his father finds him in an inn, and no brother beside him)

Summary
Nobody would know who sat beneath the chainmail. There would be no songs. But he would be a true knight and each time he heard a bard singing of the secret knight of Harrenhal, he would know and he would smile and he would toss them a copper. Glory not belonging to anyone but himself.
He saddles his horse and rides back the way he came, leaving only the empty porridge bowl behind, scrapped clean.

Summary
Sometimes, Aragorn thinks he can see Boromir out of the corner of his eye. It has been a year and a half. He ought to have stopped this after the first six months. He ought never to have seen him in the first place. Because what is there to see?
Aragorn and Boromir - as memories and ghosts, sometimes these are one and the same, sometimes they're not. Or, as Anne Carson has it in Nox: "I fall, you fall, I have fallen, fell, a neutral verb, whence casual and casually."

Summary
After falling from the tree didn't do the trick, Evan begins to seek out another solution. A partner. Peer pressure to get the job done. He spends several weeks trolling a website with a section called Suicide Partners after breaking his arm. He finds a potential match in someone else who is looking to make sure they actually pull the trigger this time (metaphorically speaking).
Three guesses whose message Evan responds to.
It's Connor's, of course.

Summary
For Ruby, their arrangement is an escape from dire family matters and the monotony of being untouchable. For Otis, their arrangement is a distraction from a hurt he still hasn't properly dealt with and is desperate to ignore. Casual isn't complicated until they complicate it.

Summary
A work exploring the events that took place before the calamity- detailing Link's chaotic ascendance into the royal guard, his first meetings with each of the champions, Zelda, and the people who raised him. [Complete!]
"Link tossed the sword down. It stayed upright, embedded into the dirt and mud. He wanted to tell her just how desperately he’d wanted to reject it and put it back into its pedestal. The way he ran and lied, and was still lying. King Rhoam was the one who insisted the truth be buried, but Link didn’t utter a word of protest. He may have come clean, but he had no intention of coming clean to all of Hyrule.
He felt he didn’t owe Hyrule anything. But the question remained, just how much did he owe Zelda?"
