It wasn't that Namping never noticed. He did. He always did. And everyone around him did too.
He noticed it for the first time when he was backstage at an event and had whined about wanting his favourite sweets to which his manager had given him a strict look and had said something about his 'diet' and bla bla.
But weirdly, when he reached home and dragged his feet to the fridge he was very surprised. Inside his fridge, amongst all the diet-aligned food, sat two boxes of yellow with the logo of his favourite sweet shop. Namping stared at it as he felt a sense of dread at the pit of his stomach. No one had access to his apartment but his parents and manager other than himself.
Someone knew where he lived.

Pete stares at the cadaver, but he’s more surprised by his lack of reaction. He lifts his head when he feels a firm hand resting on his shoulder. “I meant what I said, what do you want, kid?”
Pete keeps eye contact with his dangerous savior, not knowing why but feeling how crucial his response could be. His response is decisive. “I haven’t had fun for a long time.”
Chan grins, feeling a strange feeling of fondness for this small awkward being. “I can’t promise you safety, but if you’re looking for some fun, I can certainly give you that.”
Pete smiles, not one of his dumb, naïve smiles reserved to keep people at distance length. No, this stranger, this tall imposing man who he doesn’t even know his name, has earned the right to see the real him. “The name’s Pete.”
“Chan,” the man whispers, “Remember Pete.” Pete opens his eyes, slightly swaying forward, Chan’s arm stabilizing him. “There are no heroes nor villains in this world.”
