Astrid drops the mirror, and doesn’t even hear as it shatters on the ground at her feet.

Taking in a clutch of Nadder Natchings, the Riders expected dealing with an onslaught of stray spines, fire, and squwaks that kept them up through the night.
What they didn't expect, was for one little hatchling to remind them so strongly of their leader.
It all unravelled from there.

Summary
Shiro is lost, only able to contact the paladins during their dreams. He helps them through their nightmares when they need him the most, but it's getting harder and harder to find them as he starts to lose track of what's real and what's imagined. He's losing his grip on this reality, and his sense of self is beginning to fall apart. He's going to need their help to get back before he disappears entirely.

Summary
Everyone in Team Voltron has their own struggles, and Shiro always makes it a priority to help them out when he can. It's not always easy on top of his own issues, though; He's plagued by nightmares and flashbacks, and a growing sense of disgust at who he's become. His brave face is slowly crumbling as it begins to take its toll, and the other paladins agree to do something about it.
Or: Shiro helps each paladin out in turn, and sometimes they help him, but eventually they all come together to return the favour.
