It all begins innocently enough, with cut fruit.
The way it happens, it doesn’t ring any alarm bells. Sasuke had forgotten all about the conversation, lulled into a false sense of security by the delayed action of it all. Hinata was still somewhat new, but after a couple of weeks had passed he realized she had seamlessly woven herself into his routine and effortlessly integrated into his friend group. Everything seemed perfectly normal until it wasn’t.
And it all starts with strawberries, of all things. Sasuke knows how absurd it sounds, so he can’t even bring himself to mention it to anyone without sounding completely bonkers. He silently curses Hinata for being so deviously clever.
