    Summary

    “…Pull yourself together,” Mydei muttered, hands on Phainon’s shoulders, trying to gently, pry the other Alpha off.

    Phainon whined. His grip tightened as he nuzzled further in to his chest, letting out another whine like this was exactly where he wanted to be.

    And Mydei?

    Mydei panicked.

    Red crystals were growing around the arena, and around them. He should probably get them under control, but—

    By Nikador’s name—

    What had he done.

    Or where Alpha Mydei accidentally marks Phainon during a spar.

    Summary

    One day, Topaz comes in with a white-haired girl tagging along behind her, and the first thing Aventurine says is, “there’s no way you could have had a kid since the last time I saw you.”

    aka, the one where Aventurine is finally sort-of settling into his 'new' life, except there are café shenanigans, (kinda?)lovers'-tiffs, a child who needs him, maybe a little bit more trauma to unpack, and a whole two-persons' worth of memories for him to sift through - not necessarily in that order.

    ~~~
    A collection of stories covering Aventurine's life after, and sometimes 'before', the events in Strangers in the Night.
    Summary
    In his early days as a slave, Aventurine was subjected to neuro-reprogramming that, when activated, makes him mindlessly obedient. Thankfully, the program was scrapped, and it’s been over a decade since he’s even seen someone who knows the key phrase – but Aventurine’s luck runs out while he’s crashing Ratio’s vacation.
    Naturally, Ratio is not content to let some bottom feeding slaver make off with one of his few friends. Offering further assistance, however, leads to unforeseen consequences - because as Ratio begins researching Aventurine’s condition and searching for a way to free him from it, their feelings for one another begin to change. But Ratio is all too aware of the ethical issues of being involved with a patient, especially one who has given him so much power over their mind . . . and as for Aventurine, Ratio is the one person he can't risk losing.
    Summary
    Mydei knew that while maybe Cipher wouldn’t mind a prank or two along these lines, someone like Aglaea wouldn’t dare. His mind reeled back instantly to Kephale’s statue, bereft of its usual reassuring glow.
    “Lord Mydei,” Castorice chimed in gently. “Are you sure a ‘Phainon’ wasn’t a comrade you made during your time in the Kremnoan detachment? Perhaps this is the dysphoria that comes with waking from Death.”
    “Phainon of Aedes Elysiae, Deliverer of Amphoreus,” Mydei gritted out. “This isn’t something I say in either jest or confusion. He is one of us. The Chrysos Heir to carry Kephale’s coreflame. Where is he?”
    “There hasn’t been a Chrysos Heir devoted to Kephale in more than a millennia,” Anaxa said thoughtfully, “The coreflame was brought and returned by the Trailblazer.”
    Summary
    It was done. Amphoreus was free.
    Yet instead of feeling delight, relief or happiness, Phainon... didn't know how to feel. After all of his emotions had burned along with him to ensure they had a chance at winning, there weren't many of them left to feel. But with the new Dawn, came fragile hope that perhaps things could get better.
    And that's when the cracks appeared.
    He should have known there was yet another price he had to pay, that his body could never withstand so many cycles. He thought that perhaps he would have more time to finally bask in the sunlight with others, but instead he has to learn to count his days as his mind falls into despair and his body breaks down.
    Perhaps the only thing he can do before he runs out of time is... to say goodbye to everyone.
