Summary
As much of a mystery as Mike was, Will had come to understand at least one thing. Mike needed to be needed.
Will felt like a lightbulb had gone off in his head when he’d come to the realisation.
The dealing, the sex, the taunting texts – it all made sense. People came to Mike to get what they needed, whether that be drugs, an orgasm, or the last word in a fiery exchange.
The goading messages were a test, Will had decided – a constant push and pull, Mike seeing whether Will would come back and defend himself against his harsh words.
In a way, Will was no better than the people traipsing Mike’s door at all hours of the night. He did need something from Mike, just the same as everyone else.Or:
Ending up on the infamous roster of the college drug dealer was not in Will's college plans. He'd had a list — a real one, written down — of how this year was supposed to go. Mike Wheeler was not on it. None of this was.

Summary
The sun is shining through the window above the sink, casting the room in a warm glow. One of the beams is hitting Steve just right to make him look ethereal, like the gods have sent him here for Eddie’s personal entertainment. He thinks the pretty boy nickname has never been more true than it is in this exact moment. Eddie bites down on his lip to keep from laughing aloud, hiding a grin behind the hand he’s resting on. His shoulders are shaking with contained laughter, though.
The upbeat vocals of ABBA’s Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! are softly drifting through the room from a hidden stereo.

Summary
“I don’t think that it has to mean that you’re into guys,” Lucas says. His words are accompanied by a casual shrug, and said in the tone of someone who has clearly already given this subject some thought. Will doesn’t know what to do with that information. Jump from a building, maybe. “I mean, we’d all get flustered if Spider-Man carried us in his arms.”
Mike points to him enthusiastically. “Thank you, Lucas.”
Dustin looks between the two of them, his eyes narrowed.
“...Would we?”
“Sure,” Mike concludes. “He’s attractive. That’s not a weird thing to think.”
Will just barely resists the urge to bang his head against the table. He feels Dustin’s eyes glued to his burning face, and sinks even further down his chair.
In which Mike tells Spider-Man that he has a crush on his best friend, and Will jumps to some very wrong conclusions.
