It's been two months since the accident that took the lives of your adoptive family. An explosion that nearly took your life as well. After their deaths, you were inconsolable, but Zayne made sure to reach out more consistently through text and scheduled frequent appointments so that he could keep watch over how your grief might affect your health.
However, if Zayne was being honest with himself, it was also so that he could be there for you. Especially since you have a tendency to pull away whenever you're dealing with something like this.
After a month or so, though, you've been able to begin the stages of moving on and getting back to feeling like yourself again. Meeting often with Zayne to play kitty cards at the Kitty Cafe, and hanging out regularly, things had been looking up.Until you received the official death notification from Linkon City Hall.

You nod even though he can’t see, squeezing your eyes shut and curling into yourself as you wait on the curbside. If there’s anybody else around, anybody else who witnessed what happened…
Panic floods your veins like ice.
What if someone did see what happened? Or- Or maybe someone who didn’t and just stumbles around the corner to find-
You clamp a hand over your mouth. Bloody fingers aggravate your nose. More blood pours over them, warm and wet, sliding over a layer that’s already congealed. The metallic twang stings your eyes.
You can’t tell whose blood is whose anymore.

Takes place over ten years from 9:26 when Lana Amell recruits Cullen in Kirkwall to help her and finds herself falling for him, through Inquisition and beyond. An Amell/Cullen relationship filled with tears, laughs, loss, and hope.
Then grew to include Alistair falling in love with his elven body guard, the two of them having a baby along with Cullen & Lana, and those kids growing up.
After 2 years, it's finally come to an end.
