He looks down at the impossible woman before him, who helped pull him out of grief, out of forlorn hopelessness, and gave him passion again. She smiles at him, a slow, private smile he’s coveted all these years, the one which makes his heart press against his ribs and a small thrill sing in his veins.
He holds her close as the sun sets in colours of pink and orange and red, in between cotton-candy clouds, and kisses Hermione Granger like a helpless young boy, standing at the juncture of something called love.

Hermione’s hand was poised above the door knob. She stood outside the small shop for several minutes before she even approached the wooden door. It was almost closing time. She watched him help a customer through the picture window for some time, hidden in the street’s dark shadows at the junction of Diagon and Knockturn Alleys.
