Mike readjusted again, biting at his nail for a moment, “I just mean…you like it and well, If you like it then I’ll probably like it”.
“We don't like all the same things Mike” Will couldn't help but think about it. Their main difference. How even as best friends who love all the same things, they were so completely different.
“True, but still… I mean I would try it… if it’s with you”. Mike was calm, or at least he looked it. His fingers now twirling around beneath the sheet as he looked right at Will.
‘with you’, Will pulled his legs from under the sheets up towards his chest. His bare skin flinched at the immediate heat of the sun. What did Mike mean, ‘with you’ like Will’s presence would contribute to the experience. “You want to?”. He had to ask, because Mike was really starting to confuse him.
Their eyes locked once again, Mike’s head fell back onto the headboard as he looked shortly around the room, seemingly searching for the next words to say. The pause stretched just a little too long, long enough for Will to start overthinking what he just asked.
“Yeah,” Mike spoke again, quieter now. “I think I do.”
