    When two boys appear out of thin air directly on top of a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier, it understandably raises a lot of questions. Fury is - well, furious. Steve is confused. Tony wants to know why. And how. And what. Thor just wanted to eat his sandwich.

    Draco feels like all this is Harry's fault somehow (because it usually is), and Harry is really, really hoping he's wrong.

    He's not.

    On April 30th, 2018 the realm known by its inhabitants as ‘Earth’ was attacked by beings from across the universe. The attack continued on May 1st. This was quite significant in and of itself to a percentage of its inhabitants, as, as far as they knew, the first alien attack on Earth had been exactly 6 years prior.

    To Life (and Death) this was also significant given that May 1st, was also known as Beltane (mirror to Samhain), celebrating Spring, Life (and fertility), and fire. (Samhain was a celebration of the dead.)

    Needless to say Life (and Death) are not very happy to learn the high toll planned on the day celebrating them.

    Death promised Life to do something about it. To realise he couldn’t do something himself, or appoint the task to his myrmidon of the universe, as she had apparently perished and was now formally constrained to Helheim, with no means of returning to the side of the living.

    Plan B it was. Though unfortunately, Death didn’t (or couldn’t?) warn his ‘Master’ in advance.
