Summary
Beta male Theo Norcott had fought tooth and nail to prove himself in the ruthless world of corporate finance, only to be overshadowed by Nicholas Hale, the company’s most infuriatingly confident Alpha executive who just bagged the promotion Theo had dreamed about. Their rivalry is legendary, Theo convinced the Alpha teased him simply due to genetics.
When a major client pitch forces them to work together, old wounds reopen, the balance between them shifts. Suddenly, every late meeting, every elevator ride, every stolen moment crackles with tension. Nicholas isn’t just watching him — he’s hunting him, testing the edges of Theo’s resistance with a patience that feels as dangerous as it is magnetic.
Theo tells himself he can hold his ground. That his sharp words and stubborn defiance will keep Nicholas at arm’s length. Yet the more they clash, the clearer it becomes: Nicholas doesn’t want obedience. He wants him. Every part of him.
Yet Alphas are never interested in Betas, right? It’s always the Omegas. But it seems that Nicholas never got that particular memo. And the most dangerous part?
Theo isn’t sure how much longer he wants to fight.

“I don’t make a habit of complicating my life for something temporary,” he added. “And I don’t involve people I work with unless I’m certain the outcome is worth it. And for the record,” Nicholas went on, his voice lowering just slightly, losing some of its edge in favor of something more deliberate, “you’re not convenient.”

Summary
“Right, Charlie,” Mitchell says. “Your agent sent me through the scripts, but she was a little vague about the target accent. Do you know exactly what it is we’re aiming for? Beyond ‘British’.”
Just aim away from whatever the hell it was I did last time, Charlie thinks, and we’ll be golden. When a perpetually panic-stricken Hollywood ingenu hires an uber-competent dialect coach, he's hoping for a crash course in Received Pronunciation and an urgent bit of brand rehabilitation. Instead, he gets an excruciating workplace crush and a head full of X-rated dreams. But he's an actor, right, so he'll probably be able to play it cool?
Not bloody likely.

Summary
“I could devour you,” Samiel says gently, and Jay can feel the heat of his words sinking into his translator. “Won't you let me, pretty human? I'd make it ever so good for you.” His voice is intimate, filthy; that of a lover. Of a predator that has caught its prey.
Or:
Wing Commander Jason Lane is doing his best. He's got a political coup to stop; a peace treaty to negotiate; half a planet out to kill him and - oh yes, Samiel.
Always, Samiel.

Bookmarker's Notes
It was just how things were; Kal had just always been pretty nobody and Marcus had never thought about why. He'd always been so much himself to Marcus, there was no one else. "I'm sorry," Marcus said. He hadn't meant to fumble his way so badly through all this, but he had no other talents. "I only meant to say, I'd do anything for you. That's all."

Summary
Finch had always expected that the ambassador from that strange northern land, with his funny accent and strange way of dressing, would leave him with nothing more than a few pairs of expensive earrings, a necklace or two, some very pretty hairpins and maybe a few coins to hoard below the loose floorboard under his bed. That was, after all, how most grand lords ended their affairs with pretty brothel boys.
“If I buy you, would you want to come with me?” Zariel had said, at the end of one evening, after he had bathed and while he was getting dressed.

Zariel smiled slightly as he coiled up his braid and somehow made it stay up without any pins. He spoke as if there had been no pause, “If I told you what to want, then you would know what you should pretend. You would try very hard and maybe you would even one day figure out how to deceive me. I do not much care for that. You want to give me nothing but your meat and bones. Unless you give me more, you will not spend longer than a season warming my bed. If I asked you if you understand, I am sure you would say you do. So I will not ask. I will say – come into the water if you want to find out what it feels like. Sit there if you do not. Either way I will find out something about you.”
