Summary
Izuku Midoriya’s father is a Hou-ou — a Japanese phoenix.
For some reason, this means yokai have a standing invitation to pester Izuku with their existence. Birds assemble choirs for his birthday. If there’s no cedar leaf under the welcome mat, the amazake babaa that lives two apartments over will be knocking on their door by evening. His yokai-purifying excursions get mistaken for vigilantism far too often.
(What’s going on with All Might? Is Principle Nedzu a yokai? Tokoyami, could you please get Dark Shadow to stop calling me ‘my Lord’?)

Simply Superstitious
CryCaladriusIzuku's father is a houou, but not AFO, and Izuku has magic, but no quirk. Izuku goes around dealing with wayward youkai, and gets labelled a vigilante. He meets Tokoyami in that capacity before being admitted to UA, and they become friends who do occult stuff.
Izuku gets himself involved with AM, who, unbeknownst to him, has a quirk that is actually a kitsune. (This isn't quite My Spirit Academia, though: AM and AFO are basically the only ones so far who have quirks that are spirits; Dark Shadow doesn't quite count. Quirks are magic, though.) AFO and the LoV attack as they do in canon, with some fun occult twists.
The magic bits are a little to the left of other MSA adjacent fics, and there's lots of little funny moments. Aizawa's capture scarf is haunted, and it's Izuku's fault. There's a phone youkai that's particularly obnoxious. Stain's arrest is hilarious, though the circumstances around it aren't. I enjoyed it, and I think you will too.
