"Of course I came."

Summary
Kim Dokja wakes up the morning of his 30th birthday having finally managed to forget it was, in fact, his birthday. It’s the work of several weeks of existentialism supplemented with targeted alcoholism. In the end, it had succeeded, and the fact that it is February 15th now means about as much to him as it does any other day in the year.
It is not, however, just like any other day of the year; as Dokja soon discovers when a casual touch from Yu Junghyeok, a coworker he’s known since childhood, reveals that Kim Dokja has suddenly gained the ability to read the minds of others. All with just one touch.
And there’s another thing. Just another small unimportant detail.
Yu Junghyeok is thinking about him. A lot.
Aka ORV Cherry Magic AU, which honestly might as well just be canon.

Summary
“Kim Dokja.” He mutters.
He exhales through his nose, like he’s dealing with something mildly inconvenient instead of completely impossible. One hand drags over his face, fingers pressing hard against his eyes for a second before dropping back to the mattress.
“You’re closer today,” he says. Of course, Dokja doesn’t respond.
After the 73rd scenario, Yoo Joonghyuk deals with the guilt.

Summary
Unfortunately, thirty minutes into the party, his glass of mojito has nearly run dry, Sooyoung and Sangah aren’t here yet, and somebody slides into the seat next to him. He’s so absorbed in the webnovel he’s reading that he doesn’t even look their way, but then that person clears their throat, catching his attention anyway.
When Dokja does look up, three scenes pop up in his head:
- Han Sooyoung, earlier this week, saying there’s a limit to how much you can run away;
- Han Sooyoung, this morning, saying you’ll regret this; and
- Himself, two years ago in Toronto, saying, I don’t think I can do this anymore, Yoo Joonghyuk.
or: Kim Dokja's convoluted relationship with figure skating and Yoo Joonghyuk told through a love story that spans fourteen years.
