Granted, Chan missed them.
He missed the teasing banter, the easy silence when they shared a room doing nothing and everything at once, the quiet warmth of being surrounded by his alphas. He missed their touch—gentle brushes, protective arms, the grounding scent of his pack—something he'd been quietly craving ever since the group split off into different unit schedules and solo activities.
But he would’ve been fine with it. Really.
Chan could have accepted the change—understood it, even. He was proud of them, happy to see each of his alphas thriving in their own ways. He could’ve waited. Except... something felt wrong.
Every time they returned to the dorm and leaned in for their soft “we’re home” kiss, Chan caught a scent that didn’t belong to him—something faint but undeniable. A sweetness too floral to ignore.
