Summary
“Are you and Jakey together, then?” Arthur's curious voice and he chokes on the smoke filling his throat, hacking and spluttering.
“You what?” He wheezes.
“Oh, you aren’t then?” Arthur says, tilting his head slightly in the way he does that makes him look like a little puppy. “Sorry— I just assumed, you talk about him so much” he looks a little contrite now, but still curious, sharp eyes scanning over Heinz in a way that makes him feel like he’s about to be pulled apart and examined.
“No— no, no, definitely not, he’s my best friend.” He shakes his head, dropping his cigarette and stamping it out with his food, avoiding Arthur’s searching eyes. “Jake has a girlfriend, anyway.”
There’s a beat of silence before Arthur speaks again, “Oh.” He says, and then— “Oh.”
or, Heinz has more in common with Arthur and Will than he'd like to admit and it sends him into a spiral.

“That Asshole,” Tashi’s sat next to Art on the couch, “look what he’s fucking tweeted now.”
Art adjusts his eyes to read the post she’s showing him on her phone, it’s from Patrick’s account.
“When did you speak to him?” Art asks slowly, wondering if he’s blacked out for a whole lot of important information, “and since when are we throwing a fundraiser?”
“I didn’t, and we’re not,” Tashi glares, waiting for him to get it.
“Oh, that asshole,” it finally clicks.
