Summary
Right, so. The love of his life asked to be in a fake relationship with him. How was Crowley not supposed to lose his mind over that? How was he supposed to hide how he melted like an ice cream cone in the sun when Aziraphale held his hand?
Companion piece to Pretend For Me, from Crowley's POV.

Summary
George calls Arthur Poppet. Completely normal. Totally platonic. Until they both realise that they perhaps had feelings for eachother.

Summary
George Clarke was arguably the least flirtatious, the least touchy, the least inclined to feel flustered. His lack of engagement and consistent flirting was the most likely reason for ArthurTV's tendency to admire him more than most. If George said something nice or flirty, it was like a surprising, rare reward that Arthur tended to grab onto with both hands.
The problem with that logic, is that George's instincts and attention were marginally different directed towards Arthur than the rest of their friend group.
One night, during a pub golf video, George's ability to console the urges to protect and alleviate him was impaired. The night turns unexpectedly intimate - as does the morning after.
The night causes an irrepressible, subtle shift in their dynamic. Between acts of care, displays of protectiveness & jealousy, playful flirting, and emotional misunderstandings the line between friendship and a relationship starts to blur.
Every touch, every comment, every flirt, every glance is charged with a tension so overwhelming that it's uncertain whether they're going to make it out alive.

Summary
They’re about four days into their journey through the Scorch when Thomas notices it.
Newt's leg is giving him trouble.
And that's an issue—just slightly, because Newt is touchy about his leg on a good day, but now, for some reason, he seems absolutely hellbent on avoiding Thomas's help at any cost, even if it means he has to limp around in pain all day.
Thomas doesn't understand, and Newt only gives half-answers, bats him away, until he can't outrun the truth any longer.
They talk about it.
--
Or:
Newt struggles with his leg, Thomas is clueless, they both pine a little, and someone takes a tumble. Not necessarily in that order.
