    Summary

Daeron Targaryen was cut off from the royal family two years ago. There was to be no contact, no money, no mention in the holiday broadcast.
His family didn't seem to read the same legal notice he'd been forced to sign.
Aerion keeps wiring money that freezes his bank account. Aegon tracked him down to the coffee shop he works at now. And his married cousin, Valarr, keeps showing up after dark at his Flea Bottom apartment.
Daeron would like everyone to stop. He would especially like to mean it.
His coworker, Dunk, who is usually incredibly patient about everything, is tired of cleaning up the chaos they leave in Daeron's life. He's going to do something about it, and no, that's not because he's in love with Daeron or anything like that.

    Summary

Baelor Targaryen died on the Fields of Ashford Meadow, but he woke in 93AC, as a boy of five in Dorne, a younger brother named Maekar in his arms. He's too young, too powerless, and too Dornish to even begin to grasp how he might alter the history stretched before him. Whether he is in the Heavens or the Hells, he knows he must make the best of the knowledge and skills at his disposal and end the Dance of the Dragons before it can start.

“You made me king and with that title comes certain responsibilities. A new sister-wife to replace my dead one, new children to replace the ones she cost me.” He stares down at them, lip curled into a hateful snarl. “She wanted to be Queen so badly and so she shall be my Queen.”

Aegon spares Rhaenyra from the flames, but there in no mercy in this choice.

“Where are we going?” Aegon asked.
Daeron looked at the road in front of them, nothing but dust and grass and fields as far as he could see. Tiredness bit at his limbs.
    “Well?” Aegon demanded.
“Must you speak so much?" Daeron returned, pinching his brow. "This is why Aemon is my favourite brother.”
“You’ve not even spoken to him in years!”
“Why do you think he is my favourite?” Daeron replied.

Daeron had had many dreams over the years, but few that filled him with such bone-deep, all-encompassing terror. It’s enough to drive him from his seat, from the inn entirely, taking his brother and fleeing down the road. In his wake there’s a hedge knight missing two horses and a terrified father who will not stop until he sees his sons returned.
(In which Prince Maekar’s sons really do go missing.)

    Summary

He slumped on the floor, frantic, and spilled whole jars of precious paints, mixing them with his bare hands until he had painted not exactly what he had dreamt, but the dread and horror until they were no longer only flashing behind his eyes, but spilled and depicted on the floor.

Daeron fell unconscious right beside the mess of paints, to finally sleep through the night for the first time in months.

    ---

In which instead of falling into his cups, Daeron receives some tea and a set of paints.
