“I wonder how things would be if we’d evolved on the same planet,” Grace says, leaning his forearms on his elevated knee. The one kept up by Rocky’s body. It puts even more weight on him, and Rocky feels the texture of Grace’s shoe through the xenonite, the bumps and ridges, the rocks and leaves stuck to the bottom. “You think we’d eat each other?”
It takes every ounce of self control for Rocky to keep the noise he makes somewhat dignified. He kind of needs Grace to stop talking.

The question puts me on my back foot. Literally. I jog up to the door after my morning run to find Rocky waiting for me on my side of the house, suited up and ticked off. I rock back on my heel.
“Huh?”
“What you mean ‘huh’, is simple question! Why no mention plants on Hail Mary when almost die of no vitamins?!”
“No bud, I heard you the first time,” I scoff, shaking my head ruefully. He gets under my feet, tapping at my thighs with his claws to annoy me while I toe off my running shoes.
“Hey, quit— quit it! You’ve gotta be confused, the only plant matter on the Hail Mary was the food in my meals, and that’s years gone.”

Summary
Waking up chained in the dark is a problem. Waking up chained in the dark bearing multiple stab wounds that should’ve killed him is an even bigger one, threatening a secret that Nykim has protected viciously for the last decade.
His captor, who remains infuriatingly anonymous, is determined to drag evidence of that secret out of him. The woman that asshole uses to help is as unsuited for torture as she is for staying unattached to handsome prisoners, despite her utter terror of him.
But despite having a reputation as the city’s most notorious packmaster–and an office full of the bones of his enemies to back it up–Nykim isn’t the heartless bastard the city knows him as. Escape should be his number one priority, but something about that woman calls to him.
Something that will end up costing them both.
This is now a duology. The first book is essentially complete and ends on chapter 21, with the second book continuing from there. If I'd known there were gonna be two, I'd've split them, but, well.

Daxter has a rock-solid ten-year plan: avoid the ire of Sandover Village's curmudgeonly old Sage; wait for his best bud, Jak, to complete his training and become the new Sage; then live in Jak's attic for the rest of his life. He's got this all figured out, and the upcoming visit from some of Haven City's bigwigs isn't going to blow him off course.
That's what he thinks, anyway. Right up until the bigwigs' armored retinue are arresting Jak for a crime they won't disclose, but he definitely didn't commit.
It's two years, three months, and twelve days before he sees Jak again, and his buddy's a little... different from how he used to be. The physical differences aside, this Jak doesn't seem interested in collecting bugs and studying medicine. This Jak doesn't seem truly happy unless he's got blood running down his hands. Being the favorite subject of the Minister of Science's experiments can apparently do a number on a guy. But Jak thinks there's a way to change him back, and he's not willing to go home until he finds it.
Staying in Haven was not part of Daxter's plan - far from it - but for Jak, he'll do it.
He'll do anything to get his best friend back.

This is a story based loosely around the plot of Diablo 2, with a necromancer player character. I say ‘loosely’ because I have taken a number of liberties with regards to quest/plot points, game mechanics, character class lore, and established characters. It’s just an awfully convenient container for all this stuff to happen inside, you know?

Summary
During the course of an interrogation gone wrong, Resh decides to run. This poor life choice ends with him as an inmate instead of as a servant at the prison. Now at the mercy of Prince Marcus' sadistic tendencies, the only question Resh asks himself is if he will survive the time remaining in his contract.
That is, until Carr arrives.
Convicted of theft, Carr is dragged kicking and screaming into the prison, determined to protect a secret that could have horrible consequences if discovered.
To protect themselves, Carr and Resh will need to work together. However, life on the streets has been kind to neither, and Carr has a million and one barriers to break through to even consider something like trusting another person.
This is a completed arc with a happy end.
