Summary
This started as a commissioned work but the client decided they didn't want to go through with it. They wanted it written as if it were anonymous, but obvious who was telling the story -- I hope that at least worked, though I'd probably abandon that myself.
I only had the first two paragraphs and a rough idea when I began writing, and they emailed saying they couldn't pay. So I continued the scene and put it away, but keep coming back to it, both because I like Elle Fanning quite a bit and feel as if this could lead somewhere. I love the idea of a younger woman knowing full well how people react to her and exploiting that. So here is the start of that knowledge for her, when she discovers someone stealing her underwear.
