"I'd like to go instead."
The adults in the room turned. Captain Yao and Miss Ilyukhina's eyes were wide. Miss Stratt tilted her head as Dr. Grace and her grandfather rose, both with a startling shout.
She lowered herself into her seat, dragging her sweaty hands across the blue of her dress. Everyone began speaking until Miss Stratt tapped her finger on the table, her accent crossing over the noise, "Explain."
Maria licked her lips, “Well, I’m going to die, soon, anyway,” She picked at the loose fabric of her dress, “And Dr.Grace seems very… opposed to going. And whilst Dr.Grace knows much more about astrophage than I do, I’m confident I’ll still be of use, with the knowledge I have.”
Dr.Grace’s mouth fell open, and her eyes flickered away from him. “I- She’s not an astronaut either. There is still time to—”
“No, she’s correct.” Miss Stratt spoke, and her words seemed to always be final, “She is set to die before her 20s. I shall set up a meeting for last goodbyes, Dr. Grace will fill you in on whatever gaps you have about Astrophage, and the mission.”
And, while the room was cold, Maria felt warmth she hadn’t felt in a while.

“Maria,” Her eyes felt heavy as she leaned on the chair by the window, tucking her legs under her as she turned to Shadow, “Do you want to study space?”
“No, I think I’ve had enough of space,” She humored, taking Shadow’s hand in hers, “We see the same thing every day, I’d rather not see any more once we are on earth again.”
“You said.. The stars are prettier from Earth,” His eyes darted back to her, and she blinked, his ears airplanning, “Wouldn’t we view them from Earth together?”
Oh, aahh, the promise. Maria hummed, fingers lacing with Shadow’s, “Of course, Shadow. The stars are beautiful anywhere, and we definitely will be seeing them on Earth, that’s a Maria guarantee! I just… don't want it to be my job, that I work until I grow old, yknow?”
“I do not.”

Her eyes, heavy with fatigue, drifted to her beautiful blue planet.

Statement Begins."Twilight Sparkle was a learner. She absorbed knowledge and was able to spit it out with a high understanding. Her magic use was incredible, and She was the personal assistant of the Princess! and the Head Archivist, of course. She was proud of her status, proud of her yearning for learning, though, being sent to Ponyville, after warning the Princess about the possible return of Nightmare Moon, for the Summer Sun Celebration? She hopes this trip doesn't last long, she has plenty to do, without the looming feeling of being watched, or the abnormal amount of Strange happenings in Ponyville.
The head archivist role does look enticing, though.

Edd was just a normal boy, with a normal, boring life. He animates, and goes on small adventures with his cat, Ringo, and his best friend Ell with her super obvious Crush, Tamara, but nothing too exciting.
Until a Villain, Antimachus (Or something, Edd can't bother to remember), attacks his school district.
Tragically, Edd's normal life was flipped upside down when he saved an old man and gains a magical pair of earrings that came with a talking god. Not only did his life become full of adventure, but Antimachus had a habit of making Akuma's when Edd was drinking cola! Unbelievable!
Follow Edd as he tries to regain control of his not-so-normal life, followed by a gang of misfit Miraculous holders who would rather be doing anything else.

In front of him, across the room, stood something.
It was the shape of a human, presumably a woman, but it was as though someone had made a new human out of spare parts.
A dark-skinned left hand and a pale, nearly as a sheet, right hand stuck out of ring-masters sleeves. Jon could not see the things legs underneath a pair of black tights and ballet shoes where it stood in a point, but it’s legs were lumpy as though they were stuffed with hay.
It’s face was not it’s own; For as the thing indeed had a face, but it was stuck on with safety pins. Underneath it’s stolen face laid rot and decay.
Jon felt as though he was in Hell upon seeing such a creature.Series

All Might never dropped the slime villain. Midoriya never got One For All. Hopelessness burns admiration into resentment. Saved from his own self-disgust of being quirkless by a soon-to-be half fire/half ice hero, a new obsession arises. And Shigaraki is more than happy to take in an upcoming villain with hatred that mirrors his own. He’ll even help get anything and anyone he wants.
But what happens when a villain gets a soft spot? Can villains even have those? It’s a little weird but they figure it out. And it gets even weirder when Todoroki family drama is involved. And a dog apparently. Maybe the bad guys are just little broken and fate has cursed them to be that way. Or maybe someone’s been pulling the strings since the day All Might turned his back on Midoriya on that rooftop.
Midoriya x Todoroki: toxic obsession gone… well? (Give them time, they’re working on it)
Shigaraki x Dabi: lowkey roommates to lovers (And they’re both weirded out about it)
Bakugo x Kirishima: the trauma don’t stop coming (Bakugo really needs ptsd counseling in this one)
