Summary
Wylan explores the Van Eck house trying to be brave and impress Jesper. Wylan even goes into his father's old study, but his trauma and memories of the room overshadow reality. Jesper finds him and brings him back down to earth.
TLDR: Protective Jesper. Very traumatized Wylan because that deserves more attention fr. Jan Van Eck is the worst. But these two little gay boys have fought plenty of scary things, let's just add a little ptsd to the list.

A blaze of flames comes up over the horizon, and Louis blinks once, twice, until he’s sure that what he’s looking at isn’t his own imminent death, but the explosion of an upturned car on the side of the road. He flies past a blur of blonde hair stumbling away from the fiery crash site, and it isn’t until the unmistakable scent of his blood on the air– vermouth and annihilation– hits Louis’ nose, that he slams his foot against the brake.
Or, Louis and Lestat are both hurting after the events of episode 3. Maybe they can both be what the other needs.
