“—what it looks like?” Jayce leans forward and takes Viktor by the jaw. His fingers are gentle, but his grip is unyielding when he forces Viktor to look him in the eye. “So you didn't come here to let a whore who looks like me show you a good time?”

Summary
“Ever the charmer, Talis.” He rolled his eyes and turned to walk away, figuring this conversation was not worth his precious time only for Jayce to tutt disapprovingly.
“No, no, no. I’m not finished with you yet, come back.” Jayce called out and just as he suspected, Viktor halted mid-step with a shiver and turned on his heel, quickly returning to Jayce’s side.
“Hm.” Jayce hummed, looking his partner over curiously, watching the other man squirm under the intense scrutiny.
“Are you going to keep observing me as if I am some sort of machine that needs work? Or am I free to leave?” Viktor huffed impatiently and Jayce found himself smirking.
“Of course you’re free to leave. Actually, I’m more fascinated by the fact that it seems like you can’t.” He pointed out slyly and Viktor tensed.

When Viktor has an incident with a 'faulty' hexcrystal, he finds himself unable to deny commands when given to him. This causes some issues for Viktor when a persistent man chats him up at a bar at a fundraising event, trapping him in an uncomfortable position, luckily Jayce intervenes in time and the night leads to drunken confessions that Jayce hopes he still means in the morning with a sober mind.Bookmarked by dumbst

“I’m inclined to agree,” Hoskel said, shaking his head. “Just think if they were running amok the town. We’ve taken kindly to Viktor for your sake Jayce, but the others?”
“I am right here, you know,” Viktor said bitterly, not taking kindly to how they spoke of him like he was Jayce’s pet. He doesn’t understand what they mean that Jayce has “claimed” him, but he isn’t appreciating the way they’re meaning it.
“The people of Zaun aren’t of immediate danger to us anyway,” Mel spoke now, and though Viktor has never really gotten along with her, he’s grateful for her usage of the proper title of Zaun. “And you should all place respect on Viktor’s name, despite his part of House Talis regardless.”
“Thank you,” Viktor said, not quite understanding again what this talk of being a Talis, but he chooses to focus on Mel openly defending him. “And as Jayce previously mentioned, Hextech is not to be weaponised.”

Jayce is possessive of Viktor and covers the man in the Talis House colors.
Viktor doesn't realise though for seven years what Jayce is doing, but everyone else does.

Viktor could barely breathe.
Jayce always made it a point to correct others about Viktor’s position in Hextech.
But he hadn’t been talking about Hextech.
Not when he said “partner” like he meant “mate.”
