Summary
It’s been over a year since the Reach were defeated, and about a year since Kon started aging properly, gaining full kryptonian powers… and strange, fuzzy memories of a time at Cadmus before he was rescued.
It is not until he is kidnapped, alongside Bart, Dick, Kaldur, and M’gann, that he sees Tim again, for the first time in six years, and remembers his first friend completely. Now, trapped by Luthor, the five realize that Tim has been held prisoner since he was a child, forced to use his incredible intelligence for whatever Luthor sees fit. Kon is desperate to protect the person he cares about so much, Bart is quickly forming a new friendship, and Dick can not shake the familiarity of the young genius. The question is: when help comes for them, will they be able to save Tim? Will Tim even last that long?

Summary
Tim Drake was ten when he was kidnapped by Lex Luthor. He was eleven when he helped successfully clone Superman, became friends with Kon, and subsequently helped Kon escape.
He has been trapped for almost 8 years, operating as Cardinal, an anonymous cyber-vigilante giving tips to the heroes and dumping the less solid evidence onto the internet for the world to see. He has long accepted that this is his role, he will operate from the background, help his heroes, and fuck with Luthor’s goals at every chance he gets.
Everything changes when five young heroes are kidnapped by Luthor, and Tim is reunited with Kon.
A chance for new family, new friends, a new life hangs in the balance, and if Tim plays his hand just right, he might finally get everything he never dared to dream of

Shane is cut off by a hand on his mouth. He flushes.
“Too fast,” Ilya says. “My English… not good.”
“Sorry,” Shane mumbles into Ilya’s hand. Ilya grins and shakes his head, curls dancing, as he pulls his hand away.
“Is okay. Slow words. Okay?”
This year marks thirteen year Shane Hollander's third summer at Coach Marakov's elite hockey training camp. In attendance for the first time: Ilya Rozanov, visiting from Russia. Shane isn't the most sociable, and Ilya's English isn't the greatest, yet the unlikely duo soon become the best of friends.

Finally, Ilya looks up at him. Hesitantly, he asks, “You want me to come with?”
Frowning, Shane says, “I– yeah. Yeah, of course. You think I invited you here just so you could spend Christmas alone?”
Looking away, Ilya shrugs. “I am intruder here, Hollander. You have family. I do not. Makes situation… difficult, maybe. You forget the world thinks we are rivals.”
“Not difficult,” Shane says immediately. “You want to come, you’re coming.”

Still embarrassing, to have his breakup with this beautiful actress filmed and disseminated on Reddit of all fucking places, but not a nail in his coffin, burying him alive. But the video didn’t end there.
“Can I ask if you’ve ever been with another guy?” she had to ask.
And he, tears visible in his eyes, had to nod.

Why did he have to nod?
