Euijoo’s been… off. Not in the way people get when they’re sad or sick or breaking apart quietly in the corners of their lives. On paper, everything looks fine. Better than fine, actually. He laughs more. He hums while brushing his teeth. He sways a little when the kettle whistles, like there’s a song in his head no one else can hear. Sometimes he sings under his breath—love songs, mostly, the kind that make Nicholas’s chest tighten without knowing why. He tells himself it’s stupid to care. That it’s not about jealousy, or fear, or whatever fragile thing his heart is pretending not to feel. But the thought itches at him: if Euijoo’s happy, why does it feel like he lost something in the process?
Or; Euijoo has a crush, and Nicholas fucking hates it. Even though he's the one who's kept Euijoo hanging for years.

Summary
The first time Yuma felt that quiet, unexplainable warmth toward Taki, he was only ten years old.
He remembers it as a sticky, almost-summer afternoon, the memory still glowing warm in his mind. Back then, the sky was painted with soft oranges and pinks as Yuma sat alone on the cracked concrete steps of the elementary school, knees pulled to his chest, sneakers scuffed from kicking at pebbles.
Once again, his mom had forgotten to pick him up—probably lost in another haze on the living room couch.
The other kids had long gone home, their laughter fading into the distance.
That's when Taki found him.

“And Taki,” Yuma chimes in—and even though it’s a perfectly suitable addition to the conversation, he still feels the hairs on the back of his neck rise as the others all turn to look at him, faces expectant. “I mean,” he continues, stumbling over his words, “he’s gone through a total growth spurt lately. It’s like he’s a different person.”
K is on his side, nodding sagely, but Nicholas lets out a snort. “Where have you been?”
“What do you mean?”
“You’re acting like he sprouted up overnight. He’s been grown for a while, Yuma.”
“I—” Yuma’s face warms slightly. “Obviously, I know that. It’s just . . . weird.”
“I never thought K-hyung would accept Taki’s adulthood quicker than Yuma,” Fuma says, eyebrows lifted. “What a plot twist.”
