    "There is always a choice," Andrew muttered. He released Neil's jaw, his hand dropping back down to Neil's collarbone, his palm resting flat against his shirt. "You're stupid, Josten. You're like a toy that's always broken."

    Neil's jaw ticked. He said nothing about Kevin. He'd learned months ago that the name cost him more than it was worth here, so he swallowed it down with the rest.

    "I'm not broken," Neil said, looking for Andrew's eyes in the dark.
