To make another his, to own them, to bend them, to crack them open on the seams, to fester the wound with a thousand squirming limbs and peel it ever wider. He clings to Arthur and pets over his mind, feels it quiver beneath his touch.

He doesn’t need to ask this man, this voice, who he is. Though it may be one he’s never heard before, that cadence, these words, that touch, that care….is not unfamiliar, it’s the opposite of it. Way too familiar. What used to be a constant in his life for the past few months. Much too far away from him. Outside of him now. He doesn’t want to, wants to hold on and on and on to that familiar darkness, and that comforting voice telling him everything they’re seeing.
