Ever since that first day of the rehearsals and their definitely-maybe talk, he’s been wanting to touch Noel. And not just fleetingly as they do when Liam brushes past him in the studio or Noel hands him a bottle or Liam gently kicks his shin to get his attention.
He’s fucking starving, and he’s only getting crumbs.
Even worse is that despite everything Noel said that day, and even though he sometimes looks at Liam with that particular expression that’s neither annoyance nor good-natured exasperation – Liam knows these two intimately, and he also knows how to tell them apart – he isn’t entirely sure whether they’re on the same page.
Really, that’s the fucking worst. The not knowing.
