Summary
Alfred was a prized fighter in the underground cynanthrope fighting scene.
Sure, it made good money– if you won, that was– but Alfred wasn’t sure how much longer he could keep this up. He was sick of all the fighting.
With the upcoming match on his calendar against the only other fighter that could rival his strength, he was desperate to get out of there, but doing so proved to be much harder than Alfred thought.
After all, the cynanthrope fighting industry wasn’t run legally, so who was to say they always played fair when their best fighters wanted to retire? And if the creepy dude Alfred was set up to fight decided to help him escape, if only to be able to taste freedom for himself, who would Alfred be to judge the man?

Alfred and Ivan can shapeshift into dogs and find themselves in a dog fighting mess. Alfred wants out, but apparently that's not allowed. Ivan decides to help him cuz he wants out too. Maybe they fall in love in the process? Idk.

Matthew sure didn't want to listen to the rest of Arthur's never-ending presentation. Why not just walk out of the meeting? After all, playing hooky is easy when no one notices you in the first place-- except this time, someone did.
Listening to the Brit blab on about nothing at all was ear-grating, but replacing him with an obnoxious Prussian who talked about nothing but how awesome he was didn't seem all that much better.
Peace and quiet would never be Matthew's, but who knew skipping meetings with someone could be a whole lot better than taking lonely naps in the bathroom stall.
Still, that "awesome" talk sure was going to take some getting used to.or
Matthew starts skipping world meetings, and Gilbert decides it's his obligation to come along with him.

“Straight vodka?” he heard the man scoff from beside him, in a thick British accent. Alfred smiled at the situation. A British man in a British pub. “What are you trying to forget?”
Alfred glanced up at him and took another drink. His mouth skewered, and he hoped the man knew it was from the alcohol and not because he didn’t want to talk. “...It’s a lot. Is it possible to forget an entire city?” He tried to joke.
The other man chuckled sourly and took a drink from his own glass. “I’m still trying to figure that out myself.”
“Boston?”
“Philadelphia.”
After the death of his twin sister, Alfred wants nothing more than to get out of New England to see his hometown, and the love of his life, for the first time in three long years.
Fortunately for Alfred, in the middle of his mourning, he meets a brash man with a big mouth who just so happens to be in the same place as he is.
OR: A sad Alfred F. Jones takes a road trip down south and meets an angry British man along the way.

Alfred and Ivan have always been at odds since they were kids, but thoughts and feelings change. It's basically a journey of gayness and Taylor Swift's song where she goes, 'She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers,' but it's Ivan on the bleachers and Alfred plays baseball. Yeah.
