"Hayes!" He calls while he knocks loudly on the door. "Ilya!" he adds, just in case.
Wyatt opens the door a minute later. Shane can't help but chuckle. He's still wearing a costume, one that Shane doesn't recognize, and his shirt is stained with something that stinks of really strong alcohol. His hair is sticking up in all directions and he's squinting. "Hollander, what the hell."
"I could ask you the same thing," Shane crosses his arms, taking a look inside Wyatt's hotel room. Ilya doesn't seem to be there, and the anxiety starts reaching his heart, turning its beating erratic. Shane's mostly annoyed, if he's being honest, but there's this feeling twirling in his gut. He doesn't like not knowing where Ilya is. "Where the hell is my husband?"
Hayes blinks.
"What?"Or, after a bad depressive episode and a terrified confession, Ilya made a promise to his husband. He swore he would never, ever leave him. And he'll be damned if he doesn't keep his promise, even if he has to fight strangers, jump off a moving car and cross the whole Nevada desert. He will get back to Shane, even if it's the last thing he does.

Eddie's breath is warming his face, fanning against his neck. Buck can't see, but he's pretty sure Eddie's on top of him.
"You— you just called me baby."
And wow, Eddie's chuckle sounds angelic.
His eyesight is blurry. But he can see now- they're trapped in a small space, barely big enough for the two of them. Eddie's, in fact, on top of him, and he must be hurt real bad because he can't feel any pain. The air is stale, heavy with nothing but shaky exhales.
"This is bad," he chokes out. He can feel Eddie nodding, and wow, their faces are really close. Have Eddie's lips always been this plump?It starts after Buck drives to Texas to go get Christopher back.
Then a lot of bad stuff happens, and, to make things even worse, he calls Tommy "Eddie."
Buck really hates his life.Or, Eddie is so in love with Buck even Buck has started to realize it. He's just not sure what to do with it.

Eddie thought it would be easier.
He has Buck now, and he's never letting him go. But dating is- complicated in a way it wasn't supposed to be.
First, there's the fact that they don't know who they're supposed to tell. They don't know if they should tell Bobby or Chim or Maddie or- god, Chris. Eddie doesn't know how to act now- doesn't know when he's supposed to kiss Buck and when he's just supposed to pat his back and give him a hopeful smile.
They've been friends for so long the shift between them it's almost invisible, a step forward so awkwardly taken, full of fear and repression and nervousness. Eddie hates that dating Buck involves so much- thinking.
But it's worth it.Or, Eddie has spent so long thinking about kissing Buck that he never dared to imagine what would happen after. Now, he gets to keep secrets, come out to everyone, dance in the kitchen, deal with the consequences of dating a coworker, come up with petnames, face years of fear and repression, and slowly learn to go from having a best friend to having a boyfriend. At least he gets to do it with Buck.

When Eddie started working at the dispatch he was scared. Scared of not being enough, of not being smart enough or quick enough. He was scared of sending his friends -his family- straight to danger. He was terrified of something bad happening while he was on the other end of a line, trapped in an office chair and in his own head, not being able to do anything to help.
He's always hated feeling useless. Helpless. That was what he was scared of. Of not being there.
But he's there. Eddie's right there, and it's still not enough.Or, both Buck and Eddie need to talk about their issues but I make them suffer first.

"So," Eddie begins. "Let me see if I can remember. You've worked in a dude ranch, done construction work, went to bartending school, did some Navy SEAL training, tended bar in like, in a bunch of cities, and, um- I feel like there's so much more you haven't told me."

And yeah, there's so much he hasn't told Eddie yet. Maybe it's because Buck doesn't want him to know about the long nights spent sleeping in the backseat of the Jeep, and the loneliness and the fact that everywhere he went he just felt like he was going in circles, trying desperately to find a place where he'd belong. He doesn't want to tell him about the uncertainty and the fear of not being able to find whatever he was looking for. Also, maybe it's because he finds the frown in Eddie's face funny, like it still bothers him not to know everything about him.In which Buck is totally not having a crisis about turning thirty, Eddie throws him a birthday party, Buck likes keeping secrets about his past, and they're both idiots who refuse to talk about their feelings.

Summary
“What’s the plural for a group of Steves?” asks Natasha, and it’s weirdly comforting that the question has a hint of whimsical hysteria to it. Good, Bucky’s not the only one who’s not dealing well with all of this.
“A clusterfuck,” he says. “A clusterfuck of Steves.”
Despite how little sense his life has made since he got on a battlefield to fight a bunch of aliens, Bucky's pretty sure he knows exactly what's happened when a much older Steve appears after the mission to return the Infinity Stones: he left Bucky behind to get his much deserved happily ever after in the past. Only then another Steve shows up, and another. And Bucky realizes he still hasn't got any idea what's going on.
What he does have is a whole lot of Steves, a fraught relationship with his own Steve, and tentative plans to leave. But the more Bucky talks to all these different versions of Steve, the more he begins to wonder if leaving really is what's best for him and his Steve, or if there's a way to make something new out of their long friendship.
