Summary
On an otherwise unremarkable evening in 1985, Bruce Wayne watches the Flying Graysons fall to their deaths. The crowd is loud and chaotic and seething with the perverse excitement of the spectator. Bruce pushes through it down to the ring. Others are moving, too, heading to the payphones in the parking lot to call the police or hustling their own families out of the big top. Dick slumps down on his sofa, body tense and aching even after a long, hot shower. It had been a long patrol, and he's definitely sporting a few new nasty bruises on his ribs that twinge every time he moves too aggressively. Nothing some strong painkillers can't take care of, but it's annoying all the same. Occupational hazard.
But more than just a rough patrol, he's felt like he's been in a bit of a slump for a couple weeks now. Ever since he and Kori broke up. Wally had teased him over drinks the other night that he just needs to get laid to get his head cleared, but he doesn't exactly have anyone lining up outside the door at the moment. No one that he'd be interested in right now, anyway.
But maybe he is a little pent up. A little.
