Summary
Busy lawyer Sherlock Holmes is only home for the holidays to appease his mother. After Christmas, he is probably moving to Rome. Anywhere but back to London.
Single-dad John Watson is just trying to get by. Taking care of a precocious six-year-old is not an easy job. He does not have time to be thinking about dating, no matter how often his mum texts him about it.
In a Hallmark-esque holiday romance, Sherlock and John (literally) bump into one another and stubbornly refuse to admit their feelings for one another. This is an Alternate Universe that uses a lot of details and characters from BBC Sherlock canon, just in a slightly different situation.
They're idiots in love. You get it.

John's heart is wrenched from his chest with cold, plying words. His body is laid bare, more naked than he was in the heat of the warmest Afghan nights. He feels wrung and laid out to die in a sandy ditch, the bullet wound flayed open under icy-blue eyes.
“Dying to your own hand would be incredibly stupid, Watson,” Sherlock says, “If you’re going to die, let your heart do the killing.”
