Each night, a pair of golden eyes search the sky, hoping for a new outcome. Crowley had realized it all years after falling. Initially, he hadn’t looked up at all during the night, not wanting to see the sickening beauty that he created. Yet when he’d finally turned his face to the sky, he’d been met with pure emptiness. He could only figure it was Heaven’s doing. But again, what wasn’t?

Aziraphale often finds himself standing up from his desk to stretch his legs, miracle-ing himself to one of the old empty offices, the prettily decorated ones, before heaven went all blank and white. The kind of spot in which he can search the night sky. He’d seen Crowley look at it so many times.
(essentially a character study of these two darling idiots, set after the season 2 finale)
