Summary
It hurt to hear, but Yeonjun knew it was the truth.
Their history seemed to complicate a lot of things.
But he thought about Beomgyu—of toothy grins and shining eyes and hushed whispers of reassurance. Of teasing jabs and thoughtful just because gifts and guitar chords being strummed into the quiet of the night.
And he knew he’d always take complicated; if that meant having Beomgyu close to him.
He’d do his best to fix the complications, to make things easier for Beomgyu. He didn’t want to be part of any hurt he experienced, ever again.
To start—he knew he had to tell him the truth.
He just hoped he could find the words.

Summary
For a long time now, he has dealt with this thing while being Choi Beomgyu of Tomorrow x Together. Which, arguably, has made dealing with it a million times harder than it would’ve been if he was always just Choi Beomgyu, plain and simple. It’s unfortunate that Yeonjun falls under both categories, as well as an unforeseen third category: the friendzone Beomgyu has tossed him into.
