On a whim, Dana signs up for a local blind date night, where she meets Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson. A woman so enigmatic and impossible to read that Dana is immediately captivated by her. What starts as a confusing encounter soon turns into something much deeper and stranger.
As Dana settles into her new life in London, she finds herself increasingly drawn to Stella’s sharp mind and deliberate charm. But the closer Dana feels to Stella, the more she senses the deeply buried agony behind Stella’s composed demeanour.

Two years have passed since Dana Scully walked out of the home she shared with Mulder.
Six months have passed since Stella Gibson's investigation in Belfast concluded.Scully, a Fulbright Scholar, has arrived in London for a year to investigate what makes for productive relationships between forensics / medical branches within police departments; trying to capture and understand more clearly the energy and verve she once shared with Mulder. Her investigation into what makes for a good working partnership in the criminal field puts her in the hands of Stella Gibson; freshly returned to field work and investigating a string of femicide throughout London.
Together they begin piecing together a complex series of murders...and maybe a whole lot more.
