Vecna knows everything. He knows how much Mike means to him and it's not a question of if but when and how something is going to happen. Will doesn't know how to convey to him the danger he's in. The danger that Will has put him in by virtue of caring too much in the wrong way.
Unfortunately, Will doesn't get the privilege of having an internal weakness. His biggest weakness is walking and talking and reckless and ridiculous and Vecna would possess Will to kill him just for the joy of breaking Will.“I don’t want to hurt you,” he admits in a low voice.
