Summary
Just for the record, Eddie doesn't get a kick out of duping anyone. Lying isn't his thrill of choice, and he much prefers punching.
It's summer in Los Angeles, and Shannon Diaz is dead. Tired of being handled with kid gloves in the aftermath, Eddie attempts to trade them in for the fighting kind—anyway he can.
Or, the LAFD vs LADP charity boxing match couldn't have come at a better, but worse time.

Summary
Buck only means to go to confession once.
Instead, he finds himself returning to the same church again and again for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with religion and everything to do with one devastatingly kind priest named Eddie Diaz.
What starts as awkward conversations and accidental emotional vulnerability slowly becomes something far more dangerous: feelings.
Unfortunately for Buck, falling for a priest is a terrible idea.
Even more unfortunate?
It might not just be him.Bookmarked by daddylodge

Summary
The world hits Eddie Diaz with sharp jabs; punches to the gut, chest, face.
And he’s caught, trapped, between the blows—that are fast and hard like snipers to his left, like Greggs with a bullet in his chest, like Shannon bloody on the ground—and relief.
Relief that comes quick and far between, like Christopher in his arms, like the 118 by his side, like a cold beer in his kitchen, just him and Buck.
He’s always alternating between the two, never not ready for the blow, never not waiting for relief to end.
That’s all he’s known, all he’s ever known.
Or
Eddie’s been the man of the house since he turned 11 years old.

Summary
A speculative take on how 9x18 could go. Buck and Eddie are trapped in a hospital elevator during an active shooter situation after Eddie is shot. With help still minutes away and too much blood on Buck’s hands, the things neither of them has been brave enough to say finally start slipping free.
Or: Eddie thinks he’s running out of time. Buck refuses to let him go. Theo, Christopher, and the shape of a future neither of them has dared to name are waiting on the other side.

Summary
It was a shitshow, to say the least. Despite, what he’d told Bobby all those months ago, he did not have a handle on the problem. He had the opposite. He had zero handles, and he was too embarrassed to bring it up. It was definitely an issue, but it wasn’t too serious. And it didn’t affect anybody besides himself.
But it was definitely affecting him in a bad way. Hard day at work? Go have sex to feel better. Bobby yell at him for screwing up again? Find an old guy to tell him he’s good for something. See a happy family on a call and remember he hasn’t spoken to Maddie in seven years? Blackout so he doesn’t have to be reminded of that gaping wound.
It was really bad. Yeah. But like, privately bad. Secretly bad. Except for his roommates, who were starting to get pissed about him stumbling around drunk with his guests. So, he started to look for a new apartment in earnest.
And just when he was starting to think things were getting actually concerning, and pretty soon he wouldn’t even remember what the point of anything was, who walked into the fire station, looking perfect and attractive and ready to change Buck’s life?
Eddie fucking Diaz.
or: Buck's sex addiction taken seriously.
