Dennis’ eyes flick down to the dog bed. He’s never been denied it before. It might help keep his fur from getting dirty, at least. He grabs it and starts back to the door. He won’t make them say it. He’s been bad so that means he has to go outside.
“Dennis,” Robby says. Dennis winces and drops the bed. He should have known better.

Summary
“Listen Whitaker,” Dana started, pushing herself off the counter to stand next to Abbott. “How do you feel about doin' us a favor?” she asked slowly. Whitaker raised an eyebrow, looking between Abbott and Dana suspiciously.
“What kind of favor?” he asked skeptically. Dana and Abbott exchanged a look before Abbott sighed deeply.
“We want you to... well, uh, help us do something about Robby's sabbatical," he explained. Whitaker looked uncomfortably at him and then to Dana to see if he was serious. When she had the same concerned look on her face, he laughed nervously.
“Me?" he answered awkwardly, flushing bright red. "I mean, that seems kind of… unprofessional?"

Or, Dana and Abbott ask Dennis for a favor: to find out Robby's motives for his sabbatical. They wanted him to have a simple conversation- but tagging along for the ride works too.
