“I love you,” Mark gasps. Donghyuck freezes, and Mark’s brain reels. “Wait, shit, shit, shit, fuck, Donghyuck–” But Donghyuck is scrambling off his lap and rushing out of the door. Mark lets his head fall back against the back of the couch, closing his eyes. “Shitshitshitshit–”

Mark is a lovable dork and if he was in this situation, he would totally be the type to just blurt out his love. The classic “mutual pining but they’re oblivious” trope, but done right! I like their dynamics in this fic.

Very well-written, deals with serious issues realistically and without romanticizing them. I don’t usually enjoy fics where Hyuck is written as depressed, just because it hits too close to home for me and the idea of my sunshine dealing with the same issues can be crushing, but I truly loved this fic.

This is such a sweet story, also maybe the most realistically Mark has ever been written because he would totally get his hand stuck like this. So would I, as Mark and I are both dorks, but that’s beside the point.
