Summary
Dan leaves gifts at unmarked graves, sites of cryptic deaths, and places of tragic happenings. He seeks out the dark unknown in any forgotten warehouse or seemingly cheerful bed and breakfast, leaving a path of small charms and other offerings wherever he goes.
Phil works at a small gift shop where reality seems altered, and the only customer is a very cute boy with a very strange agenda.
One day, Dan fucks up. Bad.

Summary
Dan dumps his boiling hot coffee on the butterflies in his stomach, burning their fluttering wings to a crisp, then drowning them. He can feel it everywhere when Phil breathes because ripples are never formed in small towns, even as ocean waves crash.
Or, Phil lives in a lighthouse, Dan's an angsty teenager who's parents drag him to the beach all the time.

Summary
I came in a fashionable, appealing package with tens of others of my kind. I'm identical to each and every one of my neighbors, I'm honestly nothing special, easily replaced. Perhaps it was my glint, the way I shone under your glaring bathroom lights. Possibly my edges and curves, the feel of something rigid softly laid against your skin. Most days I'm not sure why exactly you picked me. I'm so glad you did.
We've become close, Ryan, and you know it.

Summary
The flick of a wrist. The edge of bathroom counters. I can feel spiral staircases in my head and slides down my arms. Rivers and streams push through capillaries and veins. It hurts, you know? Slamming cabinets, metallic strings. I’m simply creating a symphony of littering dark reds and pulsing fatty caves, it’s true art. I’m an artist if nothing else.

Summary
“It’s almost as if painless people produce works devoid of worth simply because their pasts carry no real experiences. With that experience of true breaking, you must also be able to distinguish legitimate pain from that of normality.”
Or, Ryan is having difficulties writing a song and has a conversation about how hitting rock-bottom makes creating original art meaningful.
