Summary
“Isn’t it amusing, my darling mouse?” he chuckled slowly, and you squirmed in terror, trying to calm your heartbeat. You sat across from the devil, with only the dinner table separating you. His gaze with infernal flames was peaceful, gentle, obsessive.
“Finally, no one can interrupt us.”
You breathed sharply, looking behind him at the window. There you both were — in the middle of the dying, destroyed universe, where the one and empty House of Hope was left.
“Just the two of us.”
